The Lenders Guarantee

Nuw is an official partner of SUPERHOG, the #1 sharing economy trust and risk management company.

By choosing SUPERHOG a lender is able to put protection in place when they lend an item via the Nuw platform in the case of damage or theft of the borrowed item by the borrower, exclusions and terms apply.  The lender will need to be a member of SUPERHOG and get their borrowers to register and verify themselves with SUPERHOG for the protection to be put in place for their booking.

They provide a cost effective, one-stop trust and safety solution focusing on risk prevention resolutions that will limit incidents, but with the added protection of £500 just in case. SUPERHOG identifies key events, or pieces of missing information, that allow its customers to make better decisions. You can avail of the guarantee for as little as £3 per month, with a minimum one year, or £30 per year. Up to £500 protection guarantee for lenders worldwide.

SUPERHOG provides Nuw lenders with a Deposit Guarantee against damage. You can view their full guarantee here, Deposit Guarantee, and also view the ‘Deposit Extension’ in there as part of our unique user terms.  The Deposit Guarantee is extended for SUPERHOG members to include bookings which have been organised through and registered on the Nuw platform.

All standard terms and conditions of the deposit guarantee will apply subject to the following additional exclusion:

The deposit guarantee will not reimburse hosts for:

  • any loss or damage incurred over £100 for a booking with someone who is not a SUPERHOG member at the time of the booking, unless that person has previously had 1 or more successful booking (as a “borrower”) which was logged via the Nuw platform

  • any loss or damage where the “borrower” has previously been involved in an incident of guest damage resulting in a pay out under the deposit guarantee with respect to any booking via the Nuw platform.

The process is the same verification for AirBnB ( SUPERHOG provides cover for hosts) so don’t worry about the AirBnB lingo, the same applies to Nuw.

You will need to fill in your name, date of birth, phone number and address.

If you have an AirBnB account you can use that to verify yourself.   If not there is an easy alternative.
