Welcome to Nuw, the peer-to-peer clothes swapping app that celebrates our diverse community of fashion enthusiasts. We've carefully crafted these Community Guidelines to ensure that everyone can enjoy a safe and inclusive environment. By using Nuw, you agree to abide by these guidelines and our Terms of Use. We're dedicated to upholding these standards, and we appreciate your commitment to them as well. Violating these guidelines may lead to content removal, account suspension, or other restrictions.

 

Respect Diversity: Nuw embraces people of all backgrounds, cultures, ages, and beliefs. Treat every user with respect and kindness, regardless of their fashion choices or personal preferences.

 

Be Honest and Accurate: Represent your clothing items truthfully. Provide accurate descriptions, sizes, and conditions to ensure fair and honest swaps.

 

No Harassment or Discrimination: Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. Treat all users with courtesy and respect their individuality.

 

Stay on Topic: Keep your interactions and listings related to clothing swaps. Avoid promoting unrelated products or services.

 

Protect Privacy: Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information without consent, and avoid sharing any personal data in public discussions or listings.

 

Community Safety: Report any suspicious or harmful behaviour to us immediately. We take user safety seriously and will investigate and take appropriate action.

 

Appropriate Content: Avoid posting explicit or offensive content, including nudity, violence, or illegal activities. Keep the platform family-friendly.

 

Communication Etiquette: Be prompt and courteous in your communication and be patient with other users. Resolve conflicts respectfully and with the help of the Nuw team, if needed.

 

Follow Local Laws: Ensure your swaps comply with local laws, including health and safety regulations.

 

Responsibility: Users are responsible for their own actions and listings. Ensure that your swaps meet all agreed-upon terms and conditions.

 

Community Moderation: We may limit the visibility of content that violates these guidelines. Users who consistently violate the rules may face account restrictions or suspension.

 

We are committed to maintaining a welcoming and vibrant community on Nuw. When evaluating potential violations, we consider factors like the context, potential harm, and applicable laws. Swapper Responsibilities

  • Images and description provided are a true reflection of the condition and size of the item(s) being shared on the Nuw platform.

  • Current retail value stated is genuine.

  • The item(s) can be legally offered to swap.

  • If the item(s) is found to be misdescribed or not in compliance with community guidelines, the cost of returning the item from the swappee falls on the swapper.

  • The person listing items must respond to requests and messages in a polite and timely manner.

  • The swapper must communicate with the swappee to arrange suitable delivery of item(s).

 

Swappee Responsibilities

  • The swapper must pay the transaction fee and all shipping costs.

  • He/She/They must arrange the most suitable delivery method with the swapper

  • If the piece is not as described upon exchange, the swapper must be contacted and made aware of the issue. The swappee must prove the item(s) is not as described, providing imagery where necessary to Nuw. 

  • If it is the case that the claim is correct, the swappee will be reimbursed with the equivalent token and transaction fee.

  

Account Suspension and Termination

The following scenarios may result in the suspension or termination of a users account

  • Lists items they do not have the right to sell

  • Has multiple pending requests for 7 days or more

  • Denies multiple requests for their item(s)

  • Sends items not accurately described on the platform

  • Fails to send items to accepted requests

  • Engages in selling activity on the platform

  • Harassment or hate speech

Nuw Coins 

  • Nuw Coins are for indicative purposes only and cannot be exchanged for money.

  • Coins are awarded at Nuw’s discretion. Nuw reserves the right to amend a user’s coin allocations at any time. Although app users may appeal any evaluation, Nuw’s decision is final.
